Intermediate Drawing // Soft Pastel & Charcoal

Develop your observational drawing technique with a material focus. The course will build upon observational techniques learned in Intro to Drawing, and will include additional technical lessons in charcoal and conte, as well as composition and the interplay between media. Demonstrations will be followed by guided sessions and accompanied by lectures on relevant theory, history, and technique. Although the class will have an observational focus, students will be encouraged to experiment with abstraction.
