Freelancers Union founder Sara Horowitz and Dr. Neil Patel -- the head doctor at the soon-to-be-open, freelancer-focused primary care practice in Downtown Brooklyn -- will be coming to 3rd Ward to give you tips and ideas on how to get and stay healthy while building your business.

Join us for "A Night of Healthy Networking" from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, Oct. 22.

Sara will be giving networking and business development tips from her forthcoming book, The Freelancer's Bible. Neil will be providing tips on how to stay healthy, happy, and centered as a freelancer.

Rainbow Rev: Nicky Carvell Art Show

Rainbow Rev
A Solo Show w/ Nicky Carvell, 3rd Ward Open Call Winner
Friday, September 28, 2012 7-10pm
195 Morgan Avenue
Free // Open to the Public

Nicky Carvell won our Fall 2011 Open Call, and now she's crossed the Big Pond over to Brooklyn to show us her best and brightest art work!
Join us for a night with the artist, see her gorgeously colorful, metallic and vinyl creations.  She counts Stella, Haring and Warhol among her influences, as "charismatic characters who had a distinct attitude and an edge on everyday life; they lived their work."
A child of the 80s, she grew up on these Wild Style graphics, evoking feelings of empowerment and optimism. It inspired her to create her own colorful realm! We're proud to celebrate Nicky's work with a solo show called "Rainbow Rev" --it will be a super fun night of bright, bold work from this fresh artist.

With music and complimentary drinks.

Check out Nicky's art work and our interview with her!
