Precious Metal Clay
This single session workshop is probably as close to alchemy as anyone could get in three hours! This process is perfect for those comfortable working with clay, first-time metalsmiths and jewelry veterans alike. Learn to model, carve and sculpt with Precious Metal Clay—a polymer with precious metal imbedded in its surface. Then learn how to use a programmable kiln to burn the clay out of your model—giving you a slightly smaller but perfect metal version of your object. In our class we will work in sterling silver, but the process is the same for other metals as well. This process is so quick and simple it's almost magical. Come and see for yourself! Each student will leave with at least one finished silver object.
