Physical Computing with Arduino
Ever wondered how to make a giant cube of LED lights, a custom controller for your VJ or DJ application, or maybe your own robot? This course will give you an introduction to physical computing using the open source micro-controller known as Arduino. We will cover the basics of programming your board and using inputs and outputs, then dive into connecting sensors, LEDs, buttons and how you can create your own interactive environment.
This class will take place in our Media Lab, equipped with fully-loaded iMac design workstations. Basic Macintosh computer literacy is required for this course. Some electronics and/or Processing knowledge is helpful but not necessary. The materials fee gets you your own Arduino board and kit, complete with LEDs, sensors and more.
Take this class with Processing: an Introduction to Interactive Multimedia and receive a 15% discount on both. Please call to take advantage of this offer.
