Intermediate Rhino
Rhino is a cutting edge software program that is used in the architecture, engineering, product and jewelry design industries. The software provides all the commands and power to accurately model and document your designs, ready to integrate into CAD drawings, renderings, laser cutting, 3D printing, prototyping, CNC milling and other manufacturing processes. Rhinoceros 5 will be available for both the Mac and PC in 2012 and has unlimited plug-ins to satisfy the needs of every artist, designer and engineer.
Intermediate Rhino is a continuation of our first course, Introduction to Rhino. In this class, we will further investigate the tools and commands of Rhino through a series of increasingly more complex models in the first three classes. During the second half of the class, we will design our own jewelry, or other small objects, and prepare them for 3D printing and have the designs ready to ship by the end of the course!
This class will take place in our Media Lab, equipped with fully-loaded iMac design workstations. While this class is for beginners, it is highly encouraged that students have either taken Intro to Rhino or have used Rhino in the past.
