Intermediate Final Cut Pro // Dialogue, Multi-cam, Color, and Key Frames

This class is for those who have a fundamental knowledge of Final Cut Pro and want to refine their skills including cutting dialogue, and multi-camera editing. These classes are project oriented. The class will integrate and discuss several subjects in-depth, such as: color correction; compositing; green screen; mattes; managing clips and media; video filters and transitions; motion; key frames; typography; preparation for output; and essential keyboard commands. These classes are for those who are already working on a project or are just starting a project of their own and want help as needed. Footage can also be supplied by the instructor. The student's project can be in documentary or narrative in style. There will be lots of one to one attention from the instructor. Prerequisite: FCP 1 or the equivalent.

Instructor
Stephen Blauweiss is an independent filmmaker and the executive producer of BigGreenTV: An Environmental News Program. He has produced two independent features. His films have screened at Mass MoCA and the New York State Museum, in addition to various venues in Europe and Canada. He produces short films for Chronogram magazine each month, and has produced numerous documentaries on New York-based artists, including Pop Artist Robert Indiana. His knowledge of video and filmmaking encompasses all aspects, from concept through final production, including producing, directing, editing, art directing, cinematography, motion graphics, and DVD design and authoring. He has expertise in production and as a trainer in the following computer applications: Final Cut; After Effects; DVD Studio Pro; Media 100; and Photoshop.
