Intermediate Enameling // Cloisonne, Champleve, Plique-a-Jour and Sgraffito
If you loved the quick and colorful process you learned in Intro to Enameling, up your game in Enameling II. In this single session class we'll demo 4 techniques, and each student we'll be able to make finished pieces incorporating at least two. We'll cover separating enamel colors into cells using cloisonne and champleve, we'll cover filling a mesh or cut-out shape with enamel using plique-a-jour and we'll cover creating scratched-in designs using sgraffito. This is just the second step into a wide world of enameling, and will give students a foothold to discover other techniques independently.
