Branding

If you type “branding” into Google, it is insane how much information comes up. Branding is not for the faint of heart. It's an intense activity, especially when you're managing a client - what do you want to name your product, what are its aesthetics, who is your primary audience, and what differentiates it from the rest? By taking this class, you'll learn, over the course of four weeks, to develop a product's brand around what your key demographic is looking for from the experience. The topics will span from visual consistency to conceptual thinking and logo design. You will be given the platform to develop your own branding project or bring your personal business to its full potential.

As quoted from the professor, "People bring a lot to the table here [in the branding class at 3rd Ward] because everybody knows something that somebody else doesn’t. It’s a really great think tank that goes on – people are sharing, bookmarking, taking notes, learning from other people and making friends!"

This class will take place in our Media Lab, equipped with fully-loaded iMac design workstations. Previous experience with Adobe CS programs is recommended.  Enrollment in our Intro to Graphic Design covers these programs and includes enrollment in this branding course.
