Once you get over the fact that David Lynch is now a director and a musician, it's not that huge of a leap that his debut title track is called "Crazy Clown Time." From there it's just a hop, skip and a jump to an album Lynch describes as "intense psychotic backyard craziness fueled by beer." Lynch takes lead vocals, creaking out a song with laughably bad lyrics (sorry, David, you know we love you) and directing a video to match.
The video follows the song's narrative precisely, so when the protagonist yells, spits and spills beer, guess what? So does the guy in the video! When Lynch, wailing in a squeaky falsetto, sings of men lighting their hair on fire, women taking their tops off and everyone running around the yard like crazy drunken hillbillies, you don't have to wonder what that looks like--he shows you, making this one of the most literal videos ever produced.
Either way, there was no way we weren't going to share this.
