A Zoetrope of Resolutions

We polled a few 3rd Ward users (The Zoetrope Tribe) on their New Years Resolutions (and reccomend a way we can help make it happen - so if their resolutions are echoing your own, help is on the way!)!

Travis Tench (3rd Ward Member)

"To build more things and improve my welding skills."

[We reccomend: Loft Building Workshop and Night Welding: Intro to the Metal Shop.]

Olivia Robinson (Shop Day-Pass User & member of The Spectres of Liberty)

"To eat more vegetables."

[We reccomend: If you're quick, you can catch tonight's FREE lecture Nutrition for Sinners.]

Josh McPhee (Shop Day-Pass User, Member of The Spectres of Liberty & Zoetrope co-creator)

"To work more efficiently, so I can work less."

[We reccomend: Overall improvement creates efficiency! So, start with Sewing: Level I, move onto Sculpting the Human Head for Beginners, then for a little digital know how check out HTML/CSS: Coding by Hand, and finally round out your new knowledge base with  Gardening & Composting in New York City.]

Sugar Rum Cherry : A Naughty Holiday Party THIS SATURDAY

3rd Ward and TheDanger invite you to our annual inelegant, decadent and potentially riotous holiday party:

Sugar Rum Cherry

This Saturday, December 12th,
9:45p through very very late...
rsvp at: http://www.thedanger.com

'Tis the season when we're supposed to act nice, but this night is naughty and filled with our vice.

Explore twelve thousand square feet of debauched festivities that somehow mix the best elements of all holiday traditions while respecting none. With dirty Santas, seductive elves, loud sound, jump-up dancefloors, cheap drinks, mistletoe and an abundance of whip-cream and cherries.

With performance, presents and liquor galore a party of decadence, deviance and more...

Featuring:
Tony Tone of the Cold Crush Brothers - The immaculate hip-hop master has been a defining force in the New York City hip-hop since it's birth in the Bronx.

Chico Mann of Antibalas is a time-traveling multi-instrumentalist-producer who with drum machines, synthesizers and guitars has singlehandedly filled the 30+ year gap between afrobeat, afrocuban, freestyle and electronic music while throwing a wrench into the cogs of musical history.

Consider The Source brings their unique exploration of sci-fi Middle Eastern funk, a music that has moved crowds across the country creating the most unexpectedly fantastic sub genre of our era.

The Dolomites pay homage to the funk-soul masters of eras current and past, providing a darkly moving yuletide cheer.

In the second floor loft dj's Kimyon, Zemi 17, Sweedish Meetballs and Morphous keep the dance floor moving through sunrise with breaks to house to intelligent techno.

Plus, experience the perilous rides and contraptions built by Ryan O'Connor of the Madagascar Institute, intimate moments of candle lighting and flame games by Pyrophorus Pixxies, dancing girl glamour with the Lady Circus, a slightly suggestive holiday video installation by Sebastian Patane Masuelli and more...

Arrive early for the 45 hour with complimentary unlimited Colt 45 from 9:45p to 10:45p.

Hijinx begin at 9:45p and continue through very late.
$15 with a rsvp at: http://www.thedanger.com/

@ 3rd Ward Brooklyn
195 Morgan Ave., Bushwick
