WRAP UP // Assistant Director Minden Koopmans Is Living the Dream

You know you've arrived when the blogosphere is requesting interviews, so we were pretty excited when I Want Her Job did a piece on our own Minden Koopmans.

Mindy (as we like to call her) is one of those vital creative forces who keeps the 3rd Ward train running on time. In her words, "My days are a real mix of project management, planning for the future and keeping an open dialog with our 20 staff members. Plus, the normal amount of admin, correspondence and phone calls with the many people we work with to help our business grow."

We learned that Mindy's background was as a bookkeeper for small businesses, and as 3rd Ward grew, so did her responsibilities. But more than that, we learned a bit about what makes her tick:

"I'm really into mantras!," she tells I Want Her Job. Her three big three go a little like this:

1. "Change creates change. If you are unhappy about something, it won't change unless you start making changes."

2. "You can do anything for five minutes."

3. "If someone is inexplicably rude or hurtful to you, it's probably not about you--so let it go."

Wise words indeed. So a big thanks to the blogosphere for taking notice of someone who's not only hardworking and damn good at her job, but also just plain nice. 

Kudos, Mindy (now don't let this newfound fame go to your head.)
