The Last Supper: Accepting Art for the September Salon @ 3rd Ward

Calling all artists, filmmakers, musicians, food artists, writers, performers, designers, and new media artists! Submit your work for the Last Supper, the super-salon of art, music, food, and dance at 3rd Ward, coming up in September. (For pics from last year's Last Supper @ 3rd Ward, click here.)

A multi-sensory approach to curating, the Last Supper Salon is a nexus of emerging creative ideas about consumption. Over 50 creators converge at one dinner table with collaborative, multi-media projects that address our current local and global socio-political, environmental and economic conditions in the context of their creative practice- all benefitting the Food Bank for NYC.

This year's curatorial theme, "Self-Made", will explore the creative individual as a self-made person and provocateur of social change. Using an experimental, multi-sensory, collaborative approach, the artwork is intended to critique the way we produce the goods and services that define our generation, the way we consume media, products and our environment, and the way open dialog, DIY and technology promotes self-made identity prototypes.
