What does TED stand for? Technology, Entertainment, Design. But can we also get a “B” for “Badass”? These 18-minute-or-less talks are a true phenomenon that have brought the world together in a global pow-wow of “ideas worth spreading.”

For the first time ever, TED is coming to Brooklyn (we know, why didn’t it happen sooner?) this Saturday at Pratt. Some of the confirmed speakers at TEDxBrooklyn are street artist extraordinaire Swoon, NPR's Kurt Andersen, DJ Spooky, M.I.A.'s eco husband Ben Brofman, PBS' Nate Ball, Whitney Biennial writer Tracie Morris, along with a mind bending group of the most promising innovators.

The theme “One Moves Many,”  will focus on how the passions of transformational individuals can launch a movement, and how emerging technologies and merging communities can help shape and propel those movements.
