3rd Ward Invites You to Make Music New York!

Last year, on the summer solstice, Make Music New York organized 875 free outdoor concerts in an incredible array of genres and locations. Thousands of musicians -- from NYC Opera artists to underground MC's, Tuvan throat singers to 8-bit musicians -- entertained New Yorkers on sidewalks, streets, parks, gardens, and even cemeteries throughout all five boroughs of NYC.

"The day literally exploded with live music" (Spin Magazine) in "the largest music event ever to grace Gotham" (Metro New York). This year, it's going to be even bigger and better. As one of MMNY's presenting partners this year, 3rd Ward invites all of our musician friends to join us out on the streets!

Time Out New York magazine has created a website to match musicians with locations for the Sunday, June 21st festival. Now anyone can find a space for their music... or music for their space. Sign up today, and MMNY will put you in touch with other musicians and locations, coordinate your concert with others in the neighborhood, secure all necessary permits, and promote your event with free posters, an interactive website, and media partners Time Out NY, Metro NY, Filter Magazine, and WNYC.
