Education Internship

3rd Ward is seeking an intern to support our Education Department in maintaining and developing the Education Program at 3rd Ward. This is a 3-month, full-time internship with a small weekly stipend, monthly unlimited metro card and free classes. We can arrange for college credit as applicable.

3rd Ward's Education program focuses on a wide array of interdisciplinary courses. Our classes are project-based and small in size, providing an ample amount of one-on-one instruction. Our teachers are professionally active in their fields and passionate about what they do. In addition, 3rd Ward houses the workspace of hundreds of Members: designers, inventors, artists, entrepreneurs, and more.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Monitoring online course enrollments
• Researching other programming for inspiration and ideas
• Gathering, preparing and organizing materials for classes
• Promoting course offerings through online marketing and social media

The participant will work closely with both the Education Director and other 3rd Ward staff, and will have to opportunity to observe and work with other departments. This is a 3 month position designed to give the right candidate a full overview of how our organization works, while gaining experience in administration, social media, and more.
